May 10, 2019, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement urging President Donald Trump to issue an executive order requiring scientific transparency when regulations are issued:
“President Donald Trump is draining the swamp in Washington, D.C. through a series of regulatory reforms. To help this along, Americans for Limited Government urges the White House to incorporate scientific transparency in the rulemaking process in order to ensure every regulation is based on science that is both reproducible and made public. To accomplish this, we urge the President to issue an executive order mandating that federal agencies adhere to science that can be falsified with data being made public before issuing regulations that impact the U.S. economy.”
