“Former President Obama already attempted to renegotiate the trade relationship with Mexico and Canada when he failed at the Trans Pacific Partnership, which included those two countries. What was missing with any trade deal with Mexico was a commitment to America’s economic interests. President Trump’s determination to restore the U.S. manufacturing sector should give assurance to the American people that a new trade agreement with Mexico will provide better economic terms for U.S. workers, and hopefully end that giant sucking that Ross Perot correctly predicted.”
