“President Donald Trump’s anticipated Supreme Court nominee will set up a showdown in the Senate that cannot be lost. This past election was about the make-up of the Supreme Court and whether an Antonin Scalia-like justice would replace the iconic jurist or not. There is no backing down, and it is our hope that the nominee put forward by the President will meet this high standard and that the Senate majority will take every necessary step to gain confirmation in a timely manner.”
