March 4, 2024, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement in response to former South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley’s win in the Washington, D.C. presidential primary over former President Donald Trump:
“In a result that reconfirms why Democrat Special Counsel Jack Smith desperately wants to prosecute President Trump in Washington, D.C., the 1,300 Republican voters in the District voted 63 percent to 33 percent in favor of Nikki Haley for president. It is fitting that Haley’s first and likely only win in her liberal money fueled presidential quest comes from the swamp itself. Obviously, the swamp hears and answers the call of its own kind, giving Haley a ‘victory’ even more dubious than many of her losses.”
