Nov. 24, 2017, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement in response to Leandra English being named Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB.):
“President Trump is the only person allowed to name the new head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Any attempt to circumvent that authority by Cordray runs counter to the fundamental principles of American governance.”
