ALG praises Representative Paul Gosar’s defunding radical Obama environmental agenda

July 8, 2015, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement praising Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) for successfully fighting for key amendments to the Interior and Environment appropriations bill:

“Representative Paul Gosar has proven, once again, that he is a true fighter for limiting the size and scope of government. Gosar successfully led the charge to stop the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from providing any funds to the radical United Nations Environment Programme, blocked the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from listing the Sonoran Desert Tortoise as an endangered or threatened species, and helped stop President Obama’s abuse of the Antiquities and Monuments Act by defunding its implementation in targeted areas around the western United States.

“Congress has the power of the purse, and Representative Gosar’s hard work to use that power to rein in Obama’s radical agenda stands as an example for all of his colleagues.”
